About Us

We are the North Baddesley Barnstormers Amateur Dramatics group.

Baddesley Barnstormers have been performing pantomimes for over 40 years locally. The group was originally started by local writer Dennis Bryant, after deciding to spend more of his time writing books the group was taken over by Rachel Chadwick who took on the daunting task of writing pantomimes.

Cast members come and go over the years and then come back again, when life is less hectic, we still have a few of the original group hanging on in there.

We continue to perform original pantomimes every year in February. It brings much fun, laughter and a little bit of sunshine to a cold, dark winter. We take the summer off to recover. And for Rachel to write another script.

Our most recent production was ‘Rumpelstiltskin’ performed at Chilworth village hall in Feb 2018. Our audiences and the cast had a thoroughly enjoyable time with many laughs along the way.

Our previous productions have been ‘Snow White’ 2017, ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ 2016. ‘Hansel and Gretel’ 2015 also performed at Chilworth Village Hall. With great reviews and requests to continue performing pantomimes

Our group is open to everyone, we vary in age from seven to seventy+ with many inbetween. Family and friends, we muck in together to produce an entertaining pantomime. We all have busy lives but Wednesday evenings are for relaxing and having fun rehearsing.

There is always lots to do when putting on a show, therefore we appreciate any help we’re given whether behind the scenes or on stage.

We meet every Wednesday 7.30 to 9.30pm September to March.

If you would like to come along give us a ring or email and we’ll let you know where we’re meeting.

If there’s anything I’ve missed just ask.
